Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1
Private transfer to your Arusha hotel. Welcome dinner and a detailed briefing from your Sky Wild Safaris consultant. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 2
Head south to Tarangire -- less visited than the Mara, but arguably richer. Vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and tree-climbing lions. Afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River.
Day 3
Morning and afternoon drives tracking elephants, lions, leopards, and over 550 bird species. A bush picnic in the field. One of East Africa's most underrated game parks.
Day 4
Drive north to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afternoon arrival and sunset from your crater-rim lodge -- views across the caldera towards the volcanoes.
Day 5
Descend to the crater floor for a full day's game viewing. Black rhino, flamingos, lion prides, and hippo pools in a self-contained 260 sq km ecosystem. Crater picnic lunch. Return to the rim for sundowners.
Day 6
West into the Serengeti. Stop at Olduvai Gorge. Afternoon game drives on the Seronera Plains. The big cats are active at dusk.
Day 7
A full day in the big cat corridor. Leopard on the river, cheetah on the plains, and lion prides raising cubs in the long grass. Campfire dinner under the Milky Way.
Day 8
Morning flight to the northern Serengeti. Afternoon riverside game drives. Position for the river crossing. Remote luxury camp overnight.
Day 9
Another full day chasing the migration. Optional dawn balloon flight. The seclusion here feels like true East African wilderness. Farewell safari dinner.
Day 10
Morning game drive, then fly to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam. Transfer to your beachfront resort. First evening sunset dhow cruise on the Indian Ocean.
Day 11
Guided tour of Zanzibar's UNESCO-listed Stone Town -- the Palace Museum, House of Wonders, spice bazaar, and the Forodhani Gardens night food market.
Day 12
Morning spice farm tour through clove, vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom groves. Afternoon at your private beach. Optional snorkelling excursion.
Day 13
A full day at leisure on Zanzibar's powdery white sands. Optional Mnemba Atoll snorkelling, dolphin tour, or kite surfing. Private beach dinner as your farewell.
Day 14
Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport. Fourteen extraordinary days come to a close -- until Africa calls you back.
